The Košice International Airport is located just 6 kilometres south of the city centre with daily flights to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia as well as regular flights to Prague, Vienna, London Luton, Warsaw, Uzghorod, Istanbul and Dusseldorf.

The airport is connected to the city centre and the main train and bus stations by regular bus number 23, once an hour on weekday and every 2 hours during weekends.

Direct trains from Vienna, Bratislava, Krakow and Prague will take you right to the railway station, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre.

The comfortable journey by EC/IC train from Prague takes 8 hours, 7.5 hours by a SC Pendolino train and it takes less than 5 hours to get to Košice from Bratislava. If you travel at night, you can use a sleeper, or take a motorail train.

Private RegioJet trains will take you to Košice from Prague in 8 hours.

LeoExpress trains cover the distance in approximately 9 hours.

Košice is also linked by rail to Budapest, with two direct connections – morning and afternoon, with the journey taking around 3.5 hours. Kiev is another destination that the city has direct connections with.
